What is The And Way?

The And Way is a therapeutic model created by Kelsey Blahnik, LCSW-S, our group practice owner and founder, that helps individuals heal internal polarization to navigate external conflicts. Rather than forcing people to choose between connection and conviction, The And Way teaches clients to hold both values simultaneously through assertive peacemaking. The model is grounded in the principle that self-healing is world-healing—to mend what's broken between us, we must first mend what's polarized within us.

We integrate specialized training, lived experience, and evidence-based care under one roof. 

The And Way model is designed to cultivate psychological flexibility, which is essential for both OCD and trauma recovery. What ages do you work with?

We work with adults and adolescents, and we tailor treatment approaches to developmental stage, family context, and symptom presentation.

Do you offer therapy in Spanish?

Yes. We have bilingual therapists who provide OCD and trauma treatment in both English and Spanish, including ERP, ACT, I-CBT, and EMDR.

We believe language access is a critical part of ethical, high-quality care.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. We accept most major insurance plans and are committed to making high-quality OCD and trauma treatment accessible.

  • Yes. We are deeply committed to affordable, accessible, high-quality care. We offer:

    • Insurance-based services

    • A range of fees from $100-200 depending on the provider's experience

    • Encouraging frequency that works for your budget rather than requiring weekly therapy as some practices do

    We believe financial barriers should not prevent access to evidence-based mental health care.

  • Our intake process is unique because you can immediately begin scheduling from wherever you are and connect with your ideal clinician, thanks to our variety of therapists and specialties. Our intake process includes:

    1. You will immediately receive a message back requesting insurance information or any other outstanding info we need to make a determination for which therapist would be the right match. Our process involves thoughtful clinician matching based on specialty, insurance, language, and preferences

    2. After receiving your insurance info, we will check benefits. In the meantime, we will either call you or send you a link to get scheduled for your first appointment.

    3. Once scheduled, you will complete online intake forms and put a credit card on file in order to hold the appointment.

    4. You will be notified of your expected responsibility (a quote if insurance-based or a Good Faith Estimate if you are self-pay).

    5. You will complete an intake session and begin your therapeutic journey.

    We prioritize ethical matching so you’re not placed with a generalist for specialized care.
